DrupalCamp North West November 2012
This November MediaCityUK will become home to a host of Drupal enthusiasts, professionals and experts, as Drupal Camp NW 2012 brings together developers and front end developers and those using, or interested in using, Drupal. A gloriously jam-packed weekend of debate, discussion, Open Source Software, web development, case studies, emerging technologies and BOFs, all set within the vibrant media capital of the North.
Regional camp with European appeal
Drupal Camp NW is brought to you by the North West Drupal User Group (NWDUG) and is in partnership with Salford University. In fact, they’ve kindly let us use their state of the art conferencing facilities to host the event at Media City UK. This prestigious venue will host around 200 guests from across the UK and Europe, enticing some of the most knowledgeable Drupal luminaries, formidable open source connoisseurs and web development enthusiasts. LiveLink are delighted to be supporting Drupal Camp NW with planning, design and marketing activities.
Saturday Conference
Saturday will be a session based format, complete with 12 guest speakers in two tracks and Birds of a Feather sessions, held throughout the venue, giving likeminded individuals the opportunity to discuss and delight each other in their given area of expertise. Media City UK is the perfect venue for Drupal Camp; forget cramped, shabby theatres, we’ve secured a luxury venue for an unforgettable weekend.
Sunday Unconference
Sunday hosts the unconference; offering attendees the chance to decide topics and formats of discussion, via the trusty Post It and whiteboard. Popular proposed topics will be curated and small groups of like minded people will then enjoy a day of harmonious debate and collaberative discussions.
Call for volunteers, speakers, sponsors
Event organisers are currently in talks with Drupal doyens from all corners of the UK and beyond to join us for the weekend as guest speakers, to be announced in the very near future, with calls for session proposals opening in the next week. Register an interest to speak, sponsor or volunteer via this form.
All organisers intend Drupal Camp NW to be a staple feature on the techie calendar, but we still need a little help. Sponsors and volunteers are required to ensure it’s a whirlwind success and a great weekend for all. We’re hoping for a mass of keen volunteers wishing to be a part of Drupal Camp NW 2012 and a host of sponsors willing to ensure that the North West becomes the epicentre for Drupal news, events, gossip, rumours and opinion.
