And the winner is…
The Chartered Institute of Marketing has recognised our work for Manchester United Soccer Schools and CMT Learning and shortlisted Livelink for one of its prestigious Marketing Excellence Awards.
The award is in the Leisure and Travel category and acknowledges the multichannel automated marketing campaign we ran for Manchester United Soccer Schools and CMT Learning earlier this year.
Part of a wider strategy implemented by client Manchester United Merchandising Limited (MUML) to centrally control its website and brand for Manchester United Soccer Schools, this specific campaign was run mid-season to promote what football camps were available, with bulk promotions prioritised. CMT placed itself wholly in our care, giving us free rein to come up with and implement a highly successful strategy to secure sales - the only proviso being that it would have final sign off of any content.
The aim of the marketing consultancy work we provided, as always, was to increase sales and make an impact on the bottom line. Activities included search marketing, affiliate marketing, social media management, display advertising and Facebook advertising, email marketing and copywriting.
As the courses run throughout the school holidays, we established a three month campaign which ran from May to July 2013, helping CMT Learning to sell in a short space of time and with a limited budget. Our position as a finalist for this award reflects the outstanding results that were directly linked to the campaign. For example, our email campaigns, alone, generated an ROI of 12 per cent.
This is a prime example of the very immediate success an effective and relevant strategic email marketing campaign can deliver. We are hoping to secure more clients on a retained basis in the New Year as digital services continue to take priority in the great marketing mix and we carry on proving that we can – absolutely, we have proof and with bells on ! – make a very real difference to any client’s bottom line.
