Coaching Management System | Video Learning Platform
Manchester United Soccer Schools
Situation:
Manchester United Soccer School were keen to develop a video learning platform for its coaches that would reflect the Manchester United brand and approach to training the coaches receive. This resource would allow the coaches to deliver consistently high quality courses in the UK and internationally.
Challenge:
The MUSS video learning platform would require the latest video streaming technology using a CDN (content delivery network) for international use, social networking features and a coach work allocation system. The application also required coaches to be tested and scored once they had attended the online courses. A Nike points reward scheme was also required.
Results:
The platform was developed using Drupal 7 to allow coaches to learn using streamed high definition footage of Manchester United Soccer Schools’ training sessions. The content has had the input and approval of an FA sports psychologist, along with the CHERC at Exeter University. The platform is now live and used by coaches all over the world. The admin team now saves many hours every month when managing and allocating coaching sessions.
Our main aim was to ensure that there is consistency in the delivery of our courses and how our coaches connect with the players they are coaching. We are delighted with what Livelink has produced and look forward to continuing our relationship with them in the future.
