What is RSS all about?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds provide an easy means for people to be alerted when you add new content as soon as it is published. They are a widely adopted standard and are used on most up to date sites.
Where ever you see the orange icon (right) the web site is indicating there is an RSS feed available for you to use. RSS feeds are cross platform and can be read by mobile phones, email applications, browsers and desktop applications.
Why is RSS good for my site?
RSS feeds lead to more return visitors. They help you keep people informed about new content and attract them back to your site. The best thing is it happens automatically as you edit your site. All sites developed by Livelink are capable of delivering RSS news feeds. You will notice that we use RSS on this site. The feed on this page will announce when we add content to that area of the site.
Aggregation Services
Another major benefit of RSS is that you can add the site RSS feed to syndication services such as Feedburner and Syndic8 will republish your content with links back to your site. This is a brilliant technique to broaden the audience your web site reaches.
